This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, engineers, and program managers, you will join as a member of the Lunar Permanence Finance team. We're looking for someone with a passion for the pursuit of safe and repeatable spaceflight as you work daily with key stakeholders within the program and finance teams. You'll drive analysis, process improvement, and reporting to contribute towards financial and programmatic decisions that directly impact the history of space exploration!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis and reporting to ensure projects are within negotiated and agreed upon budgets.

  • Help build and continuously improve financial models in Excel including scenario and sensitivity analysis based on different factors.

  • Analyze and identify financial data required to support In-Space Systems business unit operations.

  • Recommend and implement operational improvement measures and identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants of those risks.

  • Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviews.

  • Data mining across large data sets.

  • Performs risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions. Work with In-Space Systems Finance team to develop recovery plans.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or analytical field.

  • 5+ years of post-graduation financial analysis experience.

  • Experience with data mining across sophisticated data sets.

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

  • Intermediate Excel proficiency including Pivot tables, Vlookups etc.

  • Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions.

  • Position is based in Blue Origin's Renton WA offices.

Desired:

  • MBA, or Master's Degree in Finance.

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Experience with Deltek, COBRA.

  • Experience with BI tools - Tableau, Power BI or others

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $100,997.00-$141,395.10

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
