POSITION SUMMARY:

The Starbucks Supervisor serves as the store's second-in-command, supporting the Store Manager in leading operations, developing team members, and ensuring a professional, consistent, and welcoming Starbucks and Wintr Park Resort experience. This role balances hands-on responsibilities with leadership duties, supervising 2-8 partners per shift, acting as manager-on-duty in the Store Manager's absence, and maintaining accountability for store standards in service, cleanliness, and compliance.

The Starbucks Supervisor is responsible for supporting scheduling, timekeeping, training, product preparation, and recordkeeping, while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer-first service. By modeling Starbucks values and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, this role ensures smooth operations and a positive environment for both partners and guests.

The Starbucks Supervisor is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Intrawest Company and F&B policies and regulations; plus, they will adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the National Food Service Industry, health, and liquor codes. Skills acquired as a supervisor include operating various types of food service equipment, basic cooking skills, inventory control, labor, and cost control (plus additional supervisory skills). The Supervisor Restaurant will also follow all applicable laws (federal, state, and local).

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay/salary range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Salary pay range: $23 - $25, plus tips

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members through feedback, recognition, and hands-on guidance
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration while addressing employee concerns
  • Assist with onboarding, hiring, and training new employees, including facilitating required online learning modules
  • Support ongoing development of team members and reinforce store policies and procedures.
  • Model outstanding customer service and ensure partners deliver consistent, positive guest experiences
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Lead daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sales transactions, maintaining daily records and end-of-day reports
  • Act as manager-on-duty in the Store Manager's absence, ensuring smooth operations and staffing coverage
  • Manage scheduling and timekeeping responsibilities when the manager is off
  • Ensure product is pulled, prepared, and rotated for daily operations
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety, health, and liquor regulations
  • Monitor product quality and presentation to meet Starbucks standards
  • Oversee inventory, restocking, and basic supply ordering
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, safety risks, and staffing challenges in real time
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and uniform standards
  • Escalate issues to the Store Manager as necessary
  • Enforce uniform and grooming standards for team members
  • Follow safety and security procedures for inventory, equipment, and facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous Starbucks or retail food & beverage supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and developing team members.
  • Knowledge of Starbucks products, procedures, and standards, preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage equipment, required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College degree or equivalent experience with specific training in the areas of operation, customer service, finance, marketing, and personnel


Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in actual food and beverage operations supervision required
