POSITION SUMMARY:

The Starbucks Shift Supervisor is an entry-level leadership role responsible for supporting the store manager and supervisors in delivering an outstanding Starbucks experience. This role combines hands-on work with basic leadership responsibilities, guiding 2-5 partners during a shift. The Shift Supervisor helps ensure smooth daily operations, reinforces Starbucks' standards, and creates a welcoming environment for both customers and team members. This position focuses on modeling excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, monitoring product quality, and providing direction to team members. The Shift Supervisor is a role model on the floor, helping partners stay organized and engaged while ensuring compliance with safety, food handling, and company policies. This role ensures compliance with company, health, and liquor regulations, and national food service standards. Key skills include equipment operation, basic cooking, inventory, and labor/cost control. The role also requires adherence to all Winter Park policies and applicable laws.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay/salary range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $20 - $22, plus tips

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Support, guide and delegate tasks to partners during assigned shifts to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Model friendly, efficient customer service and ensure team members follow the same standard
  • Assist with basic shift responsibilities including opening/closing tasks, restocking, and product rotation
  • On occasion may be the leader on duty
  • Monitor product quality, presentation, and freshness
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization in line with health and safety standards
  • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and reminders to partners during shifts
  • Assist with point-of-sale transactions and basic procedures
  • Addresses employee and guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when needed
  • Help ensure staff take breaks in accordance with labor guidelines
  • Communicate important shift details to the store manager and incoming shift lead
  • Enforce uniform and grooming standards for team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • TIPS Certified desirable but may be obtained after employment

Experience:
  • Minimum six months of leadership or supervisory responsibility in a restaurant related industry desirable
