Job Description Summary

Training Specialist

The Training Specialist position is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs across the enterprise at Sunbelt Rentals. They leverage innovative methodologies and industry best practices to enhance employee capabilities, align learning with business goals, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Instructor Led (ILT) and Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) training on a variety of assigned topics to various audiences which could include but is not limited to: Skilled Trade Training, Leadership Development, Learning Path Curriculums, Customer Service, Technical Training, Branch Operations, and any other Sunbelt training initiatives
  • Deliver a consistent training curriculum, messaging, and experience
  • Utilize exceptional facilitation standards to maximize learner engagement and involvement
  • Plan and coordinate with business partners and/or vendors to secure training spaces and accommodations
  • Actively provide and incorporate feedback received to enhance facilitation methodologies and training materials
  • Participate in regular train-the-trainer sessions for new content deployments
  • Use tools and technology to track and evaluate all training classes and teammate participation
  • Maintain and sustain an updated schedule for ongoing training sessions
  • Adhere to and incorporate Sunbelt Rental safety policies and procedures into all training activities
  • Uphold and exemplify the Sunbelt 6, policies, and procedures of Sunbelt Rentals in their daily duties
  • All other duties as assigned by a member of management

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years facilitation experience required
  • 3 years of operations and leadership experience encompassing the day-to-day activities required to run a branch or store location efficiently and effectively required
  • A strong understanding and proven background of mechanical and electronic systems in automotive and/or heavy equipment required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills required
  • Highly motivated and change-oriented
  • Sound technological skills, including Microsoft Office suite, web-based training platforms (MS Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Candidate must be able to travel an average of 3 nights per week, up to 40 weeks each year by ground or air transportation to all locations where Branches and Support Centers are located
  • Must have access to reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license and insurance
  • Must be meeting or exceeding all objectives/metrics in current role as a Sunbelt Rentals teammate (if applicable)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $63,520.00 - 87,340.00

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):
