Job Summary

As an Electronics Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of electronic control modules through precise troubleshooting, repairs, and comprehensive testing processes. Your expertise will ensure that electronic components meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, supporting our commitment to innovation and excellence


Pay Range for this role: $22.15 - $24.15

Primary Duties

  • Adhere to and interpret detailed work instructions to accurately perform electronic diagnostics and repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to support diverse tasks beyond assigned priorities, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Inspect electronic units systematically, verify tags, and conduct thorough testing to identify malfunctions or failures.
  • Analyze and interpret schematics and board layouts to understand electronic circuitry and guide repair procedures.
  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose faults on printed circuit boards and electronic modules.
  • Execute precise repairs using soldering and replacement of electronic components, employing specialized test and diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeters (DVM), oscilloscopes, and trackers.
  • Perform retesting of repaired boards to validate repair effectiveness and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed repair logs using the CMS system to document work performed, parts replaced, and outcomes.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing repair processes, enhancing product quality, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality control guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and maintain product integrity.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to interact courteously and effectively with colleagues across departments to facilitate smooth workflow and problem resolution.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, exhibiting strong initiative and adaptability.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electronic schematics, circuit diagrams, and layout drawings with precision.
  • Experienced with using diagnostic tools including digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, signal trackers, and other electronic testing instruments.
  • Knowledgeable in identifying various electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, and transistors, ensuring accurate repairs and replacements.
  • Committed to consistently meeting production schedules while upholding stringent quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Understanding of customer requirements related to quality, specification compliance, and product functionality to support customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to recognize potential non-conformities in electronic assemblies and communicate concerns promptly for resolution.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain operational continuity and team dependability.

Education / Experience

  • Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience such as military electronics training.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic soldering techniques is essential for component repair and replacement tasks.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics repair environment is highly advantageous.
