Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the project site team to develop the Level 4-5 WBS for the project:
    • Evaluate the project scope and map it to the established catalog of standard features of work (with standardized workflows and planning methods)
    • Proactively identify non-standard work and engage with the Ops and InfraLink leadership to develop an approach to handling such non-standard scope
    • For each feature of work, identify, appropriately size (based on established guidelines), and sequence system boundaries (construction areas)
    • Quantify the scope of work in each of the established system boundaries

  • Using established standards, configure InfraLink system hierarchy to represents the project's Level 1-3 WBS
  • Apply established InfraLink system hierarchy and visual artifacts (SPLNX drawings) standards (system hierarchy structure, naming conventions, data attributes and naming conventions) to represent the Levels 4-5 WBS (features of work per system boundaries) for Engineering, Physical Design, Manufacturing, Construction, and Commissioning

  • Apply established standards to configure the workflow for the projects and generate work packages

  • Apply established standards to synchronize schedule attributes (milestone target dates and work durations) in InfraLink with the projects P6 schedule; ensure near-real time bidirectional updates, including
    • Pushing due dates from P6 to InfraLink
    • Pushing progress / completion information from InfraLink to P6

  • Review and QC incremental scope uploads (e.g., SPLNX files produced by spooling for each feature of work and system boundary), ensure their alignment with the WBS, composition, level of details, and proper naming, as well as data attribute assignment (e.g., FOW/scope element type, place in the hierarchy, BOM, etc.).

  • Provide application support to project teams, including data uploads, workflow execution, report generation, etc.

  • Identify project setup and progress issues, develop recommendations for improving the configuration standards.

  • Perform performance analysis and use InfraLink data to analyze planning and performance deficiencies, extract typical lead times, estimating data, identify bottlenecks, etc.

  • Review and monitor Earned Value metrics and enable near real-time scheduled activity percent completion.

  • Prepare and present at weekly and monthly project meetings.

  • Apply established "Standard Work" to applicable WBS specific Product Catalog.
