Here's what you'd do:

  • The primary function of the Manufacturing Assembly Technician is to perform routine technical assignments under direct supervision, such as constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electronic and mechanical equipment, tubes, client, and electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems.
  • Performs routine electronic, mechanical, and technical tasks such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, tubes, client, electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related electronic, mechanical, and laboratory equipment necessary to construct, test, evaluate, repair, process, weld, and maintain specific products and equipment.
  • Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions for processing, etching, and metalizing materials.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks on electronic or mechanical equipment.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions.
  • Conducts routine engineering and detailed experimental testing and reports data in the prescribed format.
  • Designs and improvises simple electronic and mechanical tools, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • As needed, analyses of rejected, returned, and in-process client tubes are performed to support engineering and manufacturing.
  • Repairs circuit boards, instruments, or other instruments for customers as needed.
  • Develops skill and knowledge in a specific product or equipment.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Technology.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Manufacturing Assembly Technician.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Have working knowledge of appropriate theoretical principles and processes encountered in the assigned field.
  • Have knowledge of TIG/GTAW welding, the ability to read mechanical drawings, and good attention to technical detail.
  • Have a high level of manual dexterity for hand tools and be able to use a microscope.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend improvements in techniques and processes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and generally tech-savvy.
  • Willingness and ability to further develop Excel and other technical skills in the future.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a hand crane to lift items weighing more than 30 lbs.
