About the Job

This is a remote, temp/casual (hourly) position requiring a Minnesota resident. 85% of the time will be at the employee's remote location and 15% will be virtual/flexible with the potential for periodic meetings on the St. Paul campus.

Job Duties

  • 60%
    • Designs, writes, and modifies computer programs for solution of business, instructional, or research problems.
    • Employee will interface on a regular basis with the project team who will define objectives and functions and will provide final approval for the programs/apps the employee will be designing and developing.
    • The employee will be responsible for redesigning the current Farmmaps website and programming website changes to ensure compatibility with the recently completed Farmmaps Iphone and Android apps.
    • As part of the duties, the programmer will create a user interface that will allow authorized users to modify and edit case studies found in Farmmaps.
  • 20%
    • Assists in problem analysis for development of new programs and studies existing programs for revision and refinement.
  • 15%
    • Prepares logic diagrams and flow charts, performs detailed coding.
    • Provides operating instructions and control cards to enable programs to be executed.
  • 5%
    • Verifies accuracy and completeness of program by preparing and testing sample data.
    • Debugs programs.
    • Produces or modifies program, user and operation
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Ten years or more of any combination of relevant post high school education and data processing experience of which at least five full years must have been in a full-time programming position.
  • Familiarity and experience with website and app design and programming.
  • Minnesota resident able to attend periodic meetings on the St. Paul Campus
  • Prior experience working with the Farmmaps program/app.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
