ECS Group of Companies is seeking a collaborative marketing professional who applies strategic thinking and marketing knowledge to support the development of high-quality proposals. The Strategist contributes to pursuit planning and execution across multiple client types and markets, helping to shape persuasive, client-focused responses. This role leads environmental service line proposal coordination efforts, elevates messaging, and refines content to align with firm strengths and client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of moderate to complex proposals for our environmental service lines
  • Coordinate proposal kickoffs, brainstorming sessions, and messaging discussions
  • Contribute to the development of client-focused strategies, messaging, and differentiators
  • Align proposal content with client needs and positioning guidance
  • Write and edit proposal sections with attention to clarity, consistency, and compliance
  • Manage timelines to support timely and compliant proposal submissions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strong proposal narratives
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop responsive, tailored content
  • Research client and market information to inform pursuit approach
  • Partner with creative team to incorporate visual enhancements into proposals
  • Assist in preparing interview materials and presentation content
  • Reference past performance and pursuit data to inform proposal strategies
  • Track market trends and maintain awareness of regional pursuit activity
  • Provide informal mentorship and peer support for junior team members
  • Engage in professional development to build strategic and technical marketing skills

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 6 years of proposal writing or similar experience required.
  • Experience in B2B marketing preferred
  • Experience in the field of environmental consulting preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of strong proposals for complex projects
  • Growing skills in analysis and problem-solving, with a developing strategic perspective
  • Proficient in managing tasks and timelines across multiple concurrent projects
  • Collaborates effectively within cross-functional teams and supports group goals
  • Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal; contributes to presentation development
