Job Summary:As the Senior Engineering Director, you will set and maintain reliability standards across network sites, working closely with managers to drive KPIs and improve asset management. You will oversee capital projects for the operating unit, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Location: Hybrid out of St. Paul, MN

What You Will Do:

Reliability

  • Setting the standards and the expectations for reliability across the network sites, including, where we are in KPIs, what needs to be done differently, what we need to be driving, how do we achieve the KPIs in the reliability space.
  • Spends extensive time "boots on the ground" at the sites, working with reliability & maintenance managers to build a community and drive KPIs
  • Serve as executive sponsor for PM pillar. Understand best practice PM and be able to make connections across the sites and with the TPM CoE.
  • Manage metrics reporting (i.e. scorecard) and other reporting, for across the operating unit. Compares these metrics across the operating sites to identify trends and move to execute improvement areas.
  • Correctly manage assets (own roadmap) per the standard and/or align with central team on needed standards.
  • Asset strategy w/ useful life across the network which includes a 5-10 year asset plan
  • Lead development of annual asset downtime plans and budget for reliability and maintenance

Engineering

  • Capital engineering leader for Operating Unit- excluding Megacaps. Anything outside Megacap, this role has ultimate accountability to deliver capital projects (cost, scope, schedule, escalations, etc.). This changes accountability to deliver capital projects from the plant managers to the Engineering & Reliability lead. Own "on time, on budget" - ROI assessment/effectiveness of the solution
  • Not simply a capital spend/portfolio management role. This role owns capital execution.
  • Effective management of the operating unit's capital budget and CAR process
  • Own the CRB and TBR process for the operating unit, in compliance with process set by central team. Participates in every single CRB and TRB.
  • Partners with the site capital managers on the business case and value engineering for all projects.
  • Establish career development roadmap for operating unit engineering team. Establish a way to rotate engineers around sites/roles to grow overall network capabilities.
  • Roadblock removal and escalation resolution on all capital projects to ensure timely delivery (establish a capital scorecard for operating unit and escalation process)
  • Promote a cross-functional collaboration of the Regional Engineering team with many SC functions (i.e. Indirect procurement, SHE & Process Safety, Sustainability, TPM, Finance, Process Engineering) to capture all the requirements and all the potential impacts in the E2E Supply Chain due to new capital investments.
  • Direct Capital responsibility for $5M - $20M / year

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years experience, including experience working on manufacturing sites within an operations team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline
  • Engineering responsibility across multiple sites
  • Experience managing maintenance programs
  • People leadership experience

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $162,000.00 - $243,000.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
