Manufacturing Engineer II

Ensures engineering projects are completed within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Reviews and evaluates department processes and procedures for continuous improvement. Evaluates, and makes final determination on the process recommendations of engineers to ensure they are accurate and consistent with the organization's short-term production plans. Leads process engineering projects and develops innovative approaches to production problems. Estimates the cost, time and resources required for repair projects; prepares work orders and monitors the progress of work against estimates. Works with outside vendors on tooling quotations. Monitors industry trends and developments in engineering technology and makes recommendations on equipment/systems investments.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work with maintenance and tool room to support facility.
• Coordinate with Design engineering on tooling/machinery requirements for product change or new design.
• Monitor safety related procedures and devices utilized in facility.
• Forecast and budgeting for capital expenditures related to machinery, tooling and plant maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement projects (RBS) and safety/environmental (EHS) program.
• Direct support to production departments to troubleshoot machinery, tooling and process issues.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience. 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical and hydraulic press operation including press safety.
• Tooling design and fabrication.

Travel: Minimal travel required.
