The Enrollment Services Systems Office within the Division of Student Success is seeking to recruit an Information Systems Specialist, Lead.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Serve as the lead for the Banner security, access external and internal audit processes and maintain related documentation.

* Serve as the lead Banner Workflow administrator and provide ongoing functional, operational and analysis support in creating accounts, assessing, recommending, and implementing system enhancements, configuration changes, and upgrades. Work with IT team to implement and migrate new Workflow requests in the test and production environments.

* Provide Degree Works and Banner Workflow Help Desk support via phone and email requests/queries concerning workflow and degree audit functionalities. Serve as primary contact for communication with Ellucian Support Center with issues by opening, monitoring and coordinating Service Requests (SR) with Ellucian. Coordinate with the GSU and USG IT departments to find a resolution when upgrades, patches, fixes or enhancements are needed. Work with functional users and technical support to decipher the root cause of any Degree Works and Banner Workflow errors and to best resolve the issues.

* Utilize test databases to test Degree Works and Banner Workflow. Coordinate upgrades and product enhancements with IS&T staff and university functional staff for Banner Workflow and Degree Works. Utilize test databases to test the Banner data feed interface for third-party systems. Assist with testing the PAWS student dashboard.

* Serves as a Banner data feed interface functional tester for the third-party systems.

* Provide ongoing face-to-face as well as training video tutorials and documentation for the Degree Works and Banner Workflow functional users.

* Serve as the backup Degree Works administrator. Provide scribe programming support and ongoing functional, operational and analysis support in assessing, recommending, and implementing system enhancements, configuration changes, and upgrades. Evaluate user requests for new or modified system processes, lead and supervise multiple Degree Works enhancement project implementations and convert project specifications into logical system processes as necessary. Perform complex data analysis and assist with resolving scribe programming issues. Scribe programming is used to pull data from the Banner Student Information System into Degree Works to display academic history information for program requirements advisement. Coordinate and prioritize system requests from the main system functional users.

* Other projects as assigned by Director of Enrollment Technologies and/or deemed necessary at individual's discretion.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

In addition to meeting the minimum hiring standards, preference may be given to those who meet the following: Possess strong written and oral communication skills, technical skills, ability to solve problems through the identification and analysis of diverse issues and report on status and progress; ability to effectively plan and manage resources, time, and activities for multiple complex projects; interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manage internal and external relationships. Banner, Workflow, and Degree Works systems knowledge preferred. Experience in reviewing and validating systems end-user access preferred. Banner systems knowledge preferred.
