About the Job

The Home Equity Senior Technology Analyst will be part of the Lending Innovation team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the launch, success and ongoing stability of Home Equity technology at Key. This role is part of the System Administration team, who are the core administrators of Blend and Empower, among other systems. This role is responsible for review and resolution of end user support tickets, build and update of system configurations and collaboration across business and technology teams to ensure great user experiences.

Essential Job Functions

Leading into the Launch of Home Equity in 2025 and 2026, the Home Equity Senior Technology Analyst will play a key role in preparation for a successful Home Equity launch by:

  • overseeing configuration and customization of Home Equity in an existing loan origination system which meets business requirements and end user needs
  • partnering with software vendor in visualizing, planning, constructing and delivery of Home Equity origination workflow
  • determine and recommend Home Equity setups best practices: standard Workflow, Task Based, or Hybrid
  • build Home Equity workflow and integrate with existing loan origination system
  • establish relationships and regularly meet with process owner and business partners with gathering and translating requirements for Home Equity workflow and operational needs
  • knowledge share, guide, collaborate and work alongside with home lending system administrators
  • foster an atmosphere of openness and inclusiveness across teams by building cooperative relationships across the organization to achieve business objectives

Post launch in 2026, the Home Equity Senior Technology Analyst will regularly:

  • provide ongoing Home Equity system support after post-rollout
  • oversee and implement Home Equity system upgrades and enhancements
  • document Home Equity requirements, procedures and best practices
  • continue establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with process owner, vendor and third-party partners
  • continue knowledge share, guide, collaborate and work with home lending system administrators with cross training of Home Equity and first mortgage Loan Origination
  • adhere to established policies, procedures, risk mitigation and operating controls
  • end user support addressing Home Equity system and loan-level issues as reported by Home Equity end users

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of basic object-oriented UAT Test Scripts
  • Expert knowledge of the application, its front-end composition, its features and capabilities and its planned future state.
  • Demonstrated experience testing complex systems with a focus on the users' perspective.
  • Experience in day-to-day operations of quality assurance techniques and can collaborate with other functional teams to review and elaborate on functional requirements, design test scenarios, and specify test data.
  • Experience testing in a fast-paced schedule.
  • Direct experience or working knowledge of Home Equity lending systems, guidelines, and processes is strongly preferred.
  • Capability to work effectively in group/team settings with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Accountability for tasks and actions.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Driven to deliver on commitments, remove barriers and effectively leverage resources to deliver quality results.

  • Possesses functional expertise and partners with leadership to drive or analyze technical support services for KeyBank enterprise processes and technology.
  • Resolves support requests and meets customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.
  • Proactively monitors and completes work requests to ensure quality and timely completion; performs troubleshooting of escalated tasks before seeking assistance. Engages directly with partners to gather more information if needed.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement idea generation process (process simplification and automation); drives the fulfillment of tasks needed to test and implement changes.
  • Analyzes the data available, determines gaps, identifies next steps, resolves, and documents the resolution of moderately complex problems; escalates issues that could pose a risk to the bank as needed.
  • Adheres to all Key Policies and Standards, escalates exceptions or violations encountered and self identified findings. May be responsible for operational monitoring.
  • Applies continuous learning to their work. Shares own perspective on KeyBank processes and/or applicable trends and previous experiences.
  • Schedules, coordinates and facilitates strategic meetings with team members, peers, and vendors. Includes appropriate attendees based on topic and expectations, records outcomes and action items.
  • Gathers and analyzes metrics to monitor health of product, process, and/or environment; takes appropriate action or escalate as needed. Collaborates with other departments on enterprise performance metrics. Sets and updates documentation standards for a product, process, and/or environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000 to $82,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation.
