Key Responsibilities

  • Support Proof of Concept (POC) opportunities for Check Point's appliance line
  • Assist in Managing a Lab network. Physical and Logical connectivity
  • Setup and configure lab network environments
  • Provide sales engineers with best practices on how to approach and test major proof of concepts
  • Support all major sales opportunities for data center and Next Generation Threat Prevention technologies.
  • Work with R&D and QA resources to validate customer designs and architectures
  • Provide onsite assistance for customers as required
  • Contribute to documentation of processes and procedures for customers and internal users.
  • Provide knowledge sharing to sales and sales engineers on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

Desired



  • 7+ years of experience working in the networking engineering or architecture in a customer facing role.
  • Experience troubleshooting network related technologies: Layer 1 - 4
  • Interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, writing and documentation skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work flexible schedule on occasion (this is a hybrid role).
  • Must be able to work independently and show leadership.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time including international.


Bonus Skills



  • Competency in performance testing tools and testing methodologies (I.e. Spirent, Breaking Point, Ixia)
  • Check Point product including Check Point Virtual Firewalls and Virtual Systems
  • 802.1q VLANs, Multicast, VRRP and/or similar clustering mechanisms, static routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
  • Reading and writing with any Scripting Language
