Join Our Team as a Career Ambassador!

Are you friendly, approachable, and ready to make an impact on campus? The Career & Professional Development Center is looking for enthusiastic students to join our team as Career Ambassadors - the welcoming face of our office and a key resource for students, alumni, employers, and faculty.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, is organized, and wants to build professional skills while supporting the success of the SNHU community.

What You'll Do

  • Greet visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Serve as the first point of contact, answering questions and connecting people to the right campus resources.
  • Assist with scheduling student appointments.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, take messages, and transfer calls as needed.
  • Support our career team with projects, events, and outreach efforts.
  • Represent (alongside Career Team staff) the Career Center at campus events, classroom visits, and information tables.
  • Help prepare, set up, and assist during Career Development events.

What We're Looking For

  • A friendly, approachable demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to take initiative and jump-in where needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate campus program.
  • Federal Work Study eligibility as part of your financial aid package.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred (But Not Required): Previous customer service or office experience.

Hours

  • 10-12 hours per week (up to 20 hours during busy periods).
  • Shifts are scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional early evening events

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
