Washington County, located in West Bend, Wisconsin has an excellent opportunity for a full time Outpatient Psychotherapist. Under the general direction of the Outpatient Services Supervisor, provides psychotherapy, individual, couple, family and group therapy as well as clinical leadership and training to the treatment team and community.
Qualified candidates must possess:
*A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
*An In-training license or current State of Wisconsin Clinical License in either Social Work or Counseling
*Certification and/or training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and/or other evidenced-based practices are strongly preferred
*A valid Wisconsin driver's license, available automobile, and automobile insurance are required.

Salary for In-training license is $65,260.76
Salary range for State of Wisconsin Clinical License is $71,513.00-$81,526.99

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Outpatient Services Supervisor, provides psychotherapy, individual, couple, family and group therapy as well as clinical leadership and training to the treatment team and community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
*Evaluates the presenting problem and undertakes diagnostic assessment of both the individual and significant others.
*Performs psychosocial assessment interviews, obtains social history and other relevant background.
*Provides psychotherapy for adults and children in individual, conjoint, group or family therapy. Services may take place in the office or in the family home.
*Insures appropriate medical record documentation, which includes completing psychosocial histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
*Participates in staffing by sharing case material, clinical assessments, and treatment planning.
*Evaluates crisis cases and performs follow up.
*Serves as a clinical resource person.
*Undertakes preventative activities such as community education and consultation through public speaking and coordinated agency planning.
*Performs community liaison work and public relations work addressing substance abuse.
*Participates in staff development, student affiliations, and research projects, as appropriate.
*Communicates pertinent information on a timely basis to appropriate staff.
*Performs other duties as assigned, including responding to an emergency event.
Work Direction Received:
Works under the general direction of the Outpatient Services Supervisor.

Supervision Exercised:
Provides clinical supervision of external contract providers.

Decision Making:
Decisions concerning therapeutic interventions, treatment planning, and other daily activities are made independently.
Interaction:
There is significant interaction with community services agencies, County schools and organizations, clients, and client families.

Essential Knowledge and Abilities:

Certification and/or training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and/or other evidenced-based practices are strongly preferred. Knowledge of appropriate psychiatric social work techniques; policies and procedures of the agency; applicable State, Federal, and County laws, rules, and regulations; and various community resources. Ability to make accurate assessments, help patients in appropriate treatment, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact effectively with other health professionals, patients and their families, and the general public. Able to fulfill physical demands of job, sensory demands (seeing and hearing), and cognitive demands (concentration, conceptualization, memorization).

Training and Experience:
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology and an In-training license or a current State of Wisconsin Clinical License in either Social Work or Counseling. A valid Wisconsin driver's license, available automobile, and automobile insurance are required.
