Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Thursday ; 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM

Pay Range: 25.75 - 29.75

Position:

The Paint Prepper prepares surfaces for painting according to customer specification.

Experienced/Intermediate level is an experienced individual who uses hands-on skills to perform work. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs surface preparation, including sanding, taping and cleaning.
  • Perform simple rework according to customer specification.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proper disposal of unused chemicals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Capable of meeting schedules and time allowances for production requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend detailed instructions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills.

  • Excellent eye and hand coordination.

  • Ability to use hand tools and other pneumatic tools.

  • Ability to properly weigh and mix chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years experience in Aerospace and similar role
  • Experience with sander, Bondo and/or mudding.

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

  • Ear Plugs - Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Experience

Three to six months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Computer Skills

Ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
