A Taste of What You'll Do

Join our team as a Senior Account Executive - Customer Development On Premise and play a pivotal role in expanding the wine and spirits business within key national chain accounts. We are seeking a dynamic individual who will develop and implement strategic sales plans, partnering with high-volume accounts to achieve revenue and profit goals. In this role, you will present monthly Gallo merchandising programs to chain buyers, aiming to boost the distribution of our products. Your influence will extend across various organizational levels, from Buyers to CEOs, as you deliver category solutions and strategic educational offerings.

You will work closely with Gallo Business Units to tailor customer-specific plans and lead the execution of chain sales strategies. Maintaining open communication with distributors and Winery management will be crucial, as you coordinate support and responsibilities for assigned accounts. Your expertise in competitor products and market trends will aid in providing insightful data analysis and reporting to customers, identifying new business opportunities. By cultivating strong relationships with customers, you will gain a deep understanding of their needs, enabling you to create impactful presentations and "Best Practices" educational content.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Master's degree plus 6 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR 12 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and car to perform job duties.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Master's degree plus 8 years of winery sales, customer development account management, or customer development project analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of winery sales, customer development account management, or customer development project analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Gallo account management or project analyst experience.
