Alaka`ina Foundation A Family of Companies (FOC) is looking a Senior Fuel Farm Operator - CAT3 supporting our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i.

Under general direction of the department manager, performs a variety of work related to the operation and maintenance duties at the fuel farm facility, to include executing aircraft refueling activities as prescribed by NAVAIR 00-80T-109. Under partial supervision, the individual will support any refueling efforts for PMRF Barking Sands.

DESCRIPTION OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs refueling/defueling operations for Jet-A fuel as required within the Performance Work Standard (PWS) of the contract.
  • Transporting Jet-A Fuel in trucks that has a 5,000 - 7,000-gallon capacity.
  • Knowledgeable of the systems and equipment in reference to the Petroleum Oil Lubricant (POL) facility.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the airfield safety regulations when performing refueling efforts.
  • Maintain time management to accomplish deadlines and requirements accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform quality control inspections on equipment and tools as required.
  • Maintain files and records for the Fuel department.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections in accordance with federal, government, state and county regulations.
  • Responsible to meet government and state regulations for sample testing on fuel contamination.
  • Schedule all calibrations within the department.
  • Adhere to Federal and State Environmental Regulations for the State Department of Health.
  • Some proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly reports IAW established formats, schedules and deadlines.
  • In additions to the above, performs any other tasks as directed by the supervisor and/or department manager.

Conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 50 pounds, with 2-man assist. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places. Environment will include customer contact, in a confined work area like and office laboratory, with field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather. Must be able to work in inclement weather, including daily exposure to heat and sun glare. General office, outdoor and warehouse environment.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain Government competency certification test prior to operations of the re-fuelers.
  • CDL with HAZMAT endorsement (desired)
  • Fuel PQS (Personal Qualification Standard) is desired.
  • AVOC Certified

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Six (6) years of fuel operations is desired.
  • Experience in POL Facility & Aircraft refueling is desired.
  • Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform the requirements specified in the PWS.
  • Must have general knowledge and basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Inventory management and accountability
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
  • Must work well with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be capable of operating material handling equipment (MHE).

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret Security Clearance Required (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
