Physics Department in the College of Arts & Science Job Description
The University of Missouri Physics Department is seeking a creative individual eager to expand their knowledge, skills and abilities in the machine shop. A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety are required for this position. The Physics Machine Shop performs a wide variety of design & fabrication work for the University as well as various other research facilities nationally and abroad. The shop is well equipped with manual lathes, mills, surface grinder, and CNC machines. Key Responsibilities
Shift
This position is in person, located on the campus of the University of Missouri - Columbia. Generally, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
