Description: NSI requires a Lead Senior Systems/Mechanical Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Program Office. The Lead Senior Engineer will lead and contribute to the design, development, and integration of systems and mechanical solutions for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Oversee payload design, launch and recovery (L&R) systems, and overall systems architecture to meet mission and customer requirements. Apply advanced systems engineering principles to ensure seamless integration across multidisciplinary teams and components. Conduct detailed mechanical design work including CAD modeling, tolerance analysis, and design verification using SolidWorks, FEA, and GD&T. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and review of engineering designs and processes across projects. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring designs meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Location: Panama City Beach, FL Education: Bachelors Degree. Experience: At least twenty-five (25) years of progressive experience in systems engineering and mechanical design. Proven expertise in systems engineering, mechanical design, UUV/UAV payloads, and launch & recovery (L&R) operations. Extensive hands-on experience with SolidWorks, FEA, and GD&T. Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering programs from concept through deployment Security Clearance: Top Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
