Position Summary:

The Production Planner II is responsible to plan and prioritize operations schedules, rough cut capacity plans, and maintain on time delivery. The position analyzes ERP data and works cross functionally with purchasing, operations, and engineering to create plans to meet customer demand as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure customer deliveries are manufactured and shipped on time.
  • Establish MRP requirements, inventory, and scheduling parameters to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.
  • Create and present rough cut capacity plans for labor and equipment.
  • Work with customer service, engineering, and operations teams to acknowledge customer orders and quote lead times.
  • Partner with operations team to achieve metrics such as schedule attainment, on-time delivery to customer, and lead time.
  • Monitors production status and takes action to eliminate obstacles that impede on-time delivery of product.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to create production ramp up and ramp down plans, as needed.
  • Continuously improves planning processes and system data by leveraging supply chain best practices and ERP data. system data through analysis of bills of materials, routings, or item master data.
  • Analyze data and work cross functionally to continuously improve scheduling processes, capacity planning, delivery metrics, and efficiency.
  • Active member of project teams and partners with teams to commercialize new products.
  • Be an active contributor to the Engineering Change Order process. Analyze and execute tasks within Engineering Changes Orders.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Collaborate with quality and materials team.
  • Prepare performance reports



Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, purchasing, materials management, or manufacturing planning.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Working experience ERP business functions, demonstrated use of analyzing ERP data to make decisions.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills.



Good to have:



  • CPM/APICS qualifications preferred.
  • Experience in an ISO or FDA regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a high mix manufacturing environment is a plus.



Salary Range: 65000 to 80000
