Position Summary Project Specialist is responsible for assisting leaders on project development, implementation, design, and closure. Typical duties would include planning, developing, coordinating project activities, collaborating with project team members, and developing measurable project goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals as outlined by project justification case.
- Communicates project expectations to team members in a timely and clear manner.
- Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones.
- Defines project success criteria and disseminates the criteria to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Develops relationships with department managers and project stakeholders to ensure that the direction and focus of project teams is in line with the business plan.
- Reviews processes to measure effectiveness and continuity that's based on benchmarked or by benchmarking standards.
- Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
- Ability to write routine reports, simple-to-business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents.
- Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.
- Education and/or Experience
- BS/BA degree (four year) from an accredited university/college OR
- 2+ years of administrative experience in a professional environment, and
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects
- Computer Skills
- MS Office programs - excel proficiency
- Smartsheet preferred
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
- As part of career development, candidates are expected to learn project management skills including:
- Preparation and delivery of progress reports, proposals, requirements, and requirements documentation for assigned projects.
- Manage changes in project scope, identifies potential issues, and contingency plans.
- Prepare and present metric reports to management
