Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $101,600(minimum) - $127,000(midpoint) - $152,400(maximum)
    • All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Senior Communications and Community Relations Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Senior Manager of Communications & Community Engagement is responsible for designing and executing integrated communication strategies that support organizational objectives, enhance brand visibility, and foster meaningful stakeholder relationships. This role leads cross-functional initiatives, drives community outreach efforts, and applies data-driven insights to continuously improve communication effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic vision, operational rigor, and a deep commitment to community impact.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop Communication Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with organizational objectives and enhance brand visibility.
  • Develop and implement community engagement programs for the company and at local sites.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Coordinate and manage communication initiatives by collaborating with various departments to ensure coherent and effective messaging.
  • Analyze Communication Metrics: Utilize sophisticated analytical tools to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and recommend data driven improvements.
  • Advise on Best Practices: Interpret business challenges and recommend industry leading communication practices to improve processes and stakeholder engagement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strategic Communication: Develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Community relations: Development and execution of community relations programs
  • Project Management: Manages communication projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Content Creation: Produces clear, engaging content for various channels, including digital, print, and social media platforms.
  • Media Relations: Builds and maintains effective relationships with media outlets to enhance the organization's public presence.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyzes complex data and communication trends to inform strategic decisions and optimize messaging.
  • Leadership: Leads communication projects and collaborates with cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Crisis Communication: Manages communication efforts during crisis situations to protect and uphold the organization's reputation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communication. Works with site community committees and external charitable organizations to determine potential opportunities for support in line with Woodward's charitable giving plans and policies.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiates with partners and stakeholders to advance communication initiatives and resolve conflicts.
  • Digital Communication: Utilizes digital platforms and tools to enhance communication reach and effectiveness.
