Job Family Description

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Discipline Description

Program managers are responsible for managing organization activities and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. They perform the tasks and responsibilities associated with ongoing work efforts and oversee multiple related projects or initiatives within the organization. Program managers coordinate resources, timelines, and stakeholders to deliver outcomes that meet quality standards and drive overall success.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

The job duties/responsibilities for the CHAMP & RAMP Asset Management Program Manager are to serve as the SRS lead for the NNSA/KSNSC Headquarters Program for Roof and A/C replacements. This is accomplished by working with multi-disciplines (i.e. Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Off-Site Vendors, etc.) to initiate, develop, and implement assessments, design reviews, and field oversight in support of the CHAMP (Cooling Heating Asset Management Program) and RAMP (Roof Asset Management Program) site projects.

RAMP Duties:
* Provide Annual Rolling SRNS 5yr/10 yr. Roof Priorities to KSNSC/MTA Vendor.
* Provide Task Order Assessment and Design Liaison support for 70% and 100% KSNSC/MTA Vendor Designs for outyear roof projects.
* Provide Bid Document Package Review from KSNSC/MTA Vendor liaison duties for SRNS.
* Assign/Request DA for Area of Project.
* Assign/Request STR through Site Services for Support of Project.
* Assign/Request Facility Representative for Planning, Scheduling, Execution, and closeout of Operational support activities.
* Attend and participate weekly at toolbox meetings during Project execution. Additional attendance if deemed necessary to ensure continuity and progression of Project.
* Formulate and track all lessons learned at completion of Projects.
* Ensure funding needs for Support activities are reflected in out-year and execution budget years.
* Identify and communicate with NNSA/DOE Field Reps through all stages of Planning, Design, and Construction milestones.
* Present yearly accomplishments and lessons learned at the Annual AMP meeting.

CHAMP Duties:

* Provide Task Order Assessment and Design Liaison support for 65% and 95% LLNL/MTA Vendor Designs for outyear HVAC projects.
* Provide Bid Document Package Review from LLNL/MTA Vendor liaison duties for SRNS.
* Assign/Request DA for Area of Project.
* Assign/Request STR through Site Services for Support of Project.
* Assign/Request Facility Representative for Planning, Scheduling, Execution, and closeout of Operational support activities.
* Attend and participate weekly at toolbox meetings during Project execution. Additional attendance if deemed necessary to ensure continuity and progression of Project.
* Formulate and track all lessons learned at completion of Projects.
* Ensure funding needs for Support activities are reflected in out-year and execution budget years.
* Identify and communicate with NNSA/DOE Field Reps through all stages of Planning, Design, and Construction milestones.
* Present yearly accomplishments and lessons learned at the Annual AMP meeting.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

We'd Also Like to See

* Direct or Indirect experience in Maintenance Coordinator, Work Window Manager, Building Custodian, and/or Subcontract Technical Representative (STR).
* Direct or Indirect experience participating in safety walkdowns for projects with Subcontractors in bidding processes.
* Certifications under OSHA Courses 510 and 511 or equivalent
* Experience Continuous Improvement initiatives through Value Stream Mapping.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
