Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assists with utility invoicing, research, and proper coding for both stabilized and new constructions properties, and bill backs to resident's ledgers as necessary.
  • Monitors invoice approval progress to ensure timely processing.
  • Generates weekly check runs, ensures checks print properly, and compare the check and remittance for accuracy.
  • Works with vendors to resolve any payment discrepancies and ensures credit memos are applied accurately.
  • Prepare and maintain landlord agreements, ensuring accurate billing records and compliance with utility company requirements.
  • Maintains vendor certificate of insurance, lien waivers, and W-9 forms.
  • Assists with front desk duties and phone coverage at corporate office for lunch and vacation coverage and as needed.



General Requirements:



  • Be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with vendors, colleagues, and management.
  • Have strong organizational skills, including time management, to handle the substantial data and documents involved in their roles.
  • Come in with strong math, accounting, and computer skills, and be familiar with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases to ensure that you can step right into the position successfully.



Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Hybrid flexibility after training period. Minimum 3-4 days in office.
