Position

As a Master Scheduler you will develop, prepare and maintain production schedules to guide the production activities and resources taht achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. You will gather from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availablity and delivery commitements into schdules. You will monitor daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. You will Utilize ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting.

Master Scheduler Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams providing work instructions, checklists, orders, and other materials to the shop to schedule a flow of work that maximizes our production resources.
  • Coordinate with production team to ensure availability of resources, such as materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet production schedules.
  • Develop production schedule that ensure on-time delivery of products while maximizing shop efficiency and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Communicate and collaborate with upstream operations and leadership on scheduled work and backlog status.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to address delays in schedule deadlines or other issues that may impact schedule due dates.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new production planning and scheduling processes, tools, and systems.
  • Analyze production data and provide regular reports to management on production performance, including identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data in our production management system.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of best practices and technology trends in the supply chain field including lean methodologies.
  • Communicate in a clear, approachable, professional, and pro-active manner, provide strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective.
  • Ability to multi-task, follow through and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • Seven+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • APICS certification strongly desired.
