We Require
- Five years of experience in a Parks and Recreation agency and/or field working with related development projects
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Parks and Recreation, or a related field

- Three years of primary responsibility in park design, capital development, or major maintenance projects
Job Contributions
- Manages, supervises, and directs staff, consultants, architects, landscape architects, engineers, land surveyors, contractors, project managers, and volunteers involved in the renovation and construction of regional parks, trail systems, and other recreation facilities
- Develop Park development plans, technical reports from data collection, field investigation, detailed analysis, and provide recommendations based on findings
- Provides expertise on specialized matters concerning project design, engineering, and construction management
- Tracks and prepares project reports, coordinates audits, and reviews of work performed
- Implements projects from park master plans, coordinates development, landscape, and construction plans, including project scoping, criteria, specifications, and standards
- Coordinates and oversees the Department's 10-year capital improvement development plan, recommends project budgets, and other maintenance/capital projects
- Oversees fleet of equipment and vehicles, authorizes repairs, recommends replacement schedule, analyzes usage, and prepares utilization and cost reports
- Participates in the selection of consultants and contractors and oversees construction projects

Working Conditions
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
- Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree
- Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
- Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards and noise and vibration
- Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor, ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
- The work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties & responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
