Summary:
Scale-up Suite process development and scale-up software is the market-leading modelling product of chemical process development reaction, workup and isolation stages in the pharmaceutical industry. 23 of the top 25 pharmaceutical companies as well as leading CDMOs routinely use Scale-up Suite tools to accelerate process development and achieve right-first-time scale-up.
The Account Manager, Scale-up Systems is responsible for driving the sales of Scale-up Suite within our US Market Organization (MO). Working with the International Market Manager, local Account Managers and our team of Technology and Application Consultants (TAC), you will translate the global sales strategy to implement local actions that retain existing customers, drive additional license usage as well as capture new accounts to use our software tools.
Geographical travel is involved to customer sites (mainly key accounts) as well as to top specialist conferences. Expected travel is about 30 percent with some international travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Others may be assigned)
*Lead and manage all sales activities for Scale-up Suite in USA
*Drive the Scale-up Suite business working with the MO sales channel and TAC team
*Develop close working relationships with local MO account managers, TACs, sales managers and the Market Manager
*Work with Market Manager and local MarCom departments to agree and implement sales and market development programs for USA, including the development and execution of a regional seminar and InfoDay program
*Develop account penetration strategies, conduct on-line customer value product demonstrations and/or presentations
*Provide timely quotes to customers and continuous follow up
*Understand Scale-up Suite product offerings and competitive advantages
*Identifying new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with marketing and management assistance
*Work with the Product Organization (PO) to identify gaps and trends in the market
*Direct involvement in key account strategy meetings
What You Need to Succeed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
*BS Degree in Science or Engineering required
*Minimum 3 years experience in a sales-focused role, including demonstrated ability to effectively manage activities across an organizational matrix and a proven track record of success
*Experience in capital equipment sales required, experience with modelling or AutoChem technology an advantage
*Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry preferred
*Open and effective communication style, excellent public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross- organizational teamwork and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of key opinion leaders in the industry
*Demonstrated ability to work within a cooperative team environment and focus on individual, time dependent projects with minimal direct supervision
*Analytical, assertiveness, creativity and effective problem-solving skills
