Senior Manager, Retail Solutions Sales
Join Epicor as a Senior Manager, Retail Solutions Sales-a pivotal leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction of the retail sales team across the US and Canada. This leader will drive new customer acquisition, oversee a team with a substantial quota, and execute a sales strategy designed to maximize revenue growth through innovative retail technology solutions. This role combines strategic planning, team development, and hands-on sales execution to ensure the company's objectives are met or exceeded.

What you will be doing:

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Manage, develop, and coach a high-performing sales team focused on retail solutions. Ensure new team members attend appropriate sales training for maximum efficiency.
    Success Metric:Achieve team quota of +3M USDannually.

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    Lead all aspects of the sales cycle-prospecting, needs analysis, demonstrations, negotiations, and closing-especially for large, complex enterprise accounts.
    Success Metric:Consistently generate and meet monthly territory forecasts, accurately predicting revenue and closing deals to meet/exceed targets.

  • Account Planning & Revenue Growth:
    Develop and implement strategic account plans, fostering relationships with key retail clients across various segments. Build cross-functional relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
    Success Metric:Secure 8-10 new enterprise deals annually, with an emphasis on strategic accounts, and expand existing accounts to drive sustained revenue.

  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:
    Optimize sales processes and remove operational barriers. Improve workflows, forecasting accuracy, and organizational efficiency.
    Success Metric:Maintain forecast accuracy within 10% and reduce process bottlenecks that impede sales velocity.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy:
    Participate in strategic and tactical planning aligned with current business trends and industry benchmarks. Work with marketing, product, and executive teams to align sales initiatives.
    Success Metric:Develop at least 15 strategic account plans per year and participate in quarterly planning review sessions.

  • Customer Satisfaction & Escalation Management:
    Resolve customer satisfaction issues promptly, manage escalations, and ensure customer success post-sale.
    Success Metric:Maintain a customer NPS score of 8+ and resolve escalations within agreed SLAs.

  • Forecasting & Budget Management:
    Manage activity pipelines, generate accurate revenue forecasts, and possibly oversee budget responsibilities for sales initiatives.
    Success Metric:Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas, with forecast accuracy within 10%.

  • Team Management & Mentorship:
    Supervise and mentor direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a growth-oriented sales culture.
    Success Metric:Maintain high team retention rates; ensure all new hires receive onboarding and ongoing training.

What you will likely bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including managing sales teams and achieving high quotas in the software industry, specifically within retail and/or ERP solutions.

  • Proven success managing a sales quota of +3 million USD, with strong pipeline and forecast management skills.

  • Strong leadership skills with 5+ years managing and developing a sales team of 5+ representatives.

  • Deep industry knowledge of retail operations, challenges, and technology solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, resolve customer issues, and lead complex sales cycles.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.

Work Environment & Travel:

  • This role involves regular travel to client sites, trade shows, and industry events, approximately 30-50%.

Range:

Minimum: $80,000 USD Maximum: $220,000 USD
