Job Description:

Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking aSenior Health Program Coordinator for the Sexual Violence Prevention Unit's Primary Prevention Program. This Program aims to prevent sexual violence by addressing root causes, such as economic stability, protective environments, and social norms, fostering meaningful engagement and coordination with communities at highest risk of violence, and building sustainable infrastructure.

The Senior Health Program Coordinator will contribute to and support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Sexual Violence Prevention Unit's Primary Prevention Program. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and implementation of the State Action Plan, including coordinating with stakeholders to contribute to the identification of prevention priorities which includes attending meetings to compile feedback, contributing to the development of the annual workplan, tracking workplan progress, helping to ensure alignment of workplan and program goals.

  • Contribute to the development of the annual progress report, including communicating requirements to program staff and key partners and coordinating and tracking completion of required components.

  • Monitor subrecipient activities for compliance and success by reviewing report submissions and participating in site visits and meetings.

  • Provide technical assistance to subrecipients by contributing to the development of guidance documents and resources to support their success in meeting program requirements.

  • Coordinate Sexual Violence Prevention Advisory Work Group, including scheduling and communicating with members about meetings, supporting in the development of the agenda, sharing materials, taking notes, and tracking attendance.

  • Draft written communications and contribute toward the development and maintenance of the primary prevention content on the unit website.

  • Research emerging topics related to sexual violence prevention, rape prevention education, healthy relationships, and other related topics (e.g. domestic violence, substance abuse, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of sexual violence prevention and response strategies; working knowledge of trauma-informed care best practices; experience implementing policy and program requirements; developing budgets and invoicing procedures; reviewing information for completeness and accuracy; experience using Microsoft Office applications (including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); strong analytical skills; experience preparing reports; experience working in a public health or health related setting.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel up to 10% of the time will be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
