Compensation $ - Bonus: Sign-on or Relocation

Carestream is offering a Sign-on or Relocation Bonus for qualified hires within Carestream Health's White City, Oregon facility. Offers will be tailored within our standard range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.

Position Summary:

The Electrician - Controls Technician is responsible for maintaining the electrical system infrastructure that ensures a safe and effective manufacturing environment.


This position performs preventive and predictive maintenance on controls systems and instrumentation. Working primarily on the manufacturing floor, the technician monitors the production systems for faults, downtime, or performance issues and investigates/troubleshoots tasks on PLC's and automated systems to eliminate special cause variation and optimize plant eciency.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze electrical, mechanical, and process controls issues to identify root cause, implement corrective action, and improve eciency.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair various PLC platforms, VFD's and motion control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and install electrical control circuits based on electrical schematics.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Supports continuous improvement, production strategies, and plant reliability strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and document Preventative Maintenance procedures and processes.

Required Skills & Education:

  • Journeyman or LME Oregon Electrical license

    • An equivalent combination of education, out of state certification, and related work experience will also be considered.


  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing or industrial experience required. An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Must be able to work 12.5-hour shifts, including holidays if scheduled
  • Willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate shutdown and other business needs, including working nights, weekends, and o-shifts.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use trend data and process test equipment.
  • Ability to work independently: high initiative, self-directed and be results oriented.
  • Skills in teamwork and communication including leadership, problem solving, giving, and receiving feedback.
