Position Overview:

As the Operations Support Manager, you will oversee different operational initiatives by providing high-level support to customers and staff, directing the department in resolving operational issues and monitor daily workflows to ensure operational needs are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

* Assist with development and execution of Ground Operations Standards Program;

* Provide support in promotion, launch and maintenance of Ground Operations Standards Program and associated training;

* Partner in auditing, measuring and reporting compliance with Quality, Training and Operations programs;

* Participate in customer and regulator interactions with focus on compliance, customer service and continuous improvement;

* Interface with internal customers and assist with meeting internal customer requirements on local and system-wide scope;

Required Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Management or related field;

* Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in managing a deicing operation OR an equivalent combination of education and experience;

* Strong understanding of financials (budgets, P&L, forecasting);

* Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the office equipment, recordkeeping systems, management information systems, and related protocols used in the organization;

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

* Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities;

* Strong leadership and supervisory skills;

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;

* Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines;

* Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;

* Maintain and treat all information as confidential;

* Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;

* Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

* Must be able to verbally direct in English;

* A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Work Environment:

* Office environment with the potential of remaining seated for extended periods of time;

* Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse;

* Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;

* Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles;

* May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and hear efficiently;

* Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders and/or work at heights in excess of 15 ft to perform role, repairs and/or inspections;

* Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling;

* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds;

* Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
