- Lead and mentor engineering managers and teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability while supporting individual growth and driving team performance.
- Work with senior leadership to define the long-term technical vision and roadmap and align engineering objectives with company-wide goals by ensuring the teams' work directly contributes to business success.
- Influence business leaders on key initiatives and projects, create strategic proposals to gain approval for execution, and oversee execution of major technical initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve processes, systems, and analytics tools to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks in both technical and operational areas, and ensure that engineering teams are prepared for unforeseen challenges and have the necessary support to overcome obstacles.
- Act as a key point of contact between the data insights team and organizational stakeholders to understand data needs, guide solution design, and implement effective analytics solutions.
- Drive the strategic development and evolution of data warehouse schemas within BigQuery, optimizing for performance, scalability, and ease of consumption by reporting and analytical tools
- Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data warehouses and data lakes to support business-critical reporting and analytics, including engineering our new consolidated data warehouse in Google BigQuery. This also involves driving data architecture decisions, automation, and optimization of data ingestion processes from various transactional databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo) into BigQuery for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Implement data governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks. Oversee and refine processes for data governance that ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility for decision-making.
- LeverageAItools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 8-10 years relevant work experience
- At least 4-5 years relevant management work experience
- Deep expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and complex ETL/ELT processes.
- Extensive experience with schema design and data modeling for large-scale analytical systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, specifically Google BigQuery.
- Experience with data integration tools, including Fivetran (for SQL Server and Oracle databases) and Talend (for MongoDB).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and data manipulation.
- Proven track record with BI and reporting tools, specifically Looker.
- Understanding of containerization and deployment workflows (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD processes for data and analytics solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
