Staff Mechanical Engineer
PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support the assigned production area by ensuring safe operations, environmental compliance, and continuous improvements in equipment reliability and asset integrity. You will take ownership of both static and rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, turbines, sealing systems, lubrication systems, vessels, piping, valves, and heat exchangers. You will apply strong technical competence to assess performance, implement maintenance strategies, and deliver cost-effective solutions. You will influence budgets by prioritizing maintenance, preparing investment proposals, monitoring expenditures, and performing life cycle cost analyses. You will build strong collaboration with production teams, engineering specialists, maintenance and turnaround staff, project engineering, support functions, and third-party vendors to achieve reliable and sustainable operations.

About Us: PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil to produce high-quality transportation fuels the world needs.
