Overview

How you can make a difference

With general direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment and discretion, this position will be responsible for selling HealthEquity's core products in a defined region. This is inclusive of prospect identification, pipeline development and contract closing for distribution into HealthEquity's current partner base and direct to employers. This role supports small groups (with <250 US Based Employees). Additional tasks include sales presentations attending / leading conferences, training, and cultivating relationships with brokers, partners, and employers in their assigned region. This position reports to a Director of Sales for the region they support; works collaboratively with Regional Sales Directors, regional sales support, business development, inside sales, implementations, finance and small business service teams.

What you'll be doing

    HealthEquity's Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by working with partners, brokers, and employers in their assigned territory
  • Working from a secure home office when not traveling to clients / partners / brokers
  • Have specific knowledge on Health Savings Account (HSA), Consumer Director Benefits (CDB) accounts, COBRA, Wellness Products and the internal processes that HealthEquity uses to administer the various accounts
  • Execute Activity and Opportunity plans for weekly, month, and quarterly targets
  • Engage with and fully utilize our digital technologies for prospecting, presenting and closing new business
  • Assist in creating support materials for our SMB partners, brokers, and employers can use to as they present the solution to the market
  • Cultivate and grow broker relationships in territory to explain HSA / CDB solutions
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams cross functionally
  • Effectively oversee a substantial number of opportunities within the sales pipeline
  • Sustain a rapid pace of sales calls and diligently manage follow-up tasks daily
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Support team members to build a strong partnership for success
  • Align prospecting and selling strategies with the Regional Sales Directors, Health Plan Partner AE, and Business Development teams
  • Participate in sales meetings with partners as the Subject Matter Experts on HSA / CDB
  • Work with their director to identify key employer prospects with <250 US based employees
  • Present through sales process to prospects, including demos and finalist meetings
  • Create track and maintain a strategic plan and update internal systems for proper reporting, including but not limited to SalesForce CRM
  • Occasional overnight travel required, about 10% of the time

What you will need to be successful

  • Four-Year Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the healthcare and employee benefits industry or a closely related field
  • Ability and skill to proficiently sell health savings accounts and other consumer directed benefits
  • 1-3 years experience in employee benefit and healthcare industry
  • documented history of sales and/or account management success in remote environments
  • health, group, life, disability or ancillary insurance products sales experience
  • Prior use of digital sales technologies including but not limited to SF.com, Outreach.IO, ZoomInfo, Gong.IO, Walnut.io
  • Skilled in managing multiple tech applications simultaneously with keen attention to detail and focus
  • Relationships with brokers and general managing agents in key markets
  • CDHP/CDB and HSA sales experience
  • Understanding of products such as HSA/HRA/FSA/Commuter/COBRA/LSA
  • Student of the industry and strong desire for ongoing learning
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Obtaining and exceeding sales unit target
  • Managing productive relationships across multi partner sales organization (Broker, Health Plan, Third-Party Administers)
  • Managing productive relationships with team members across a multi layered sales organization (Regional Sales Executive, Regional Sales Support, Business Development, Health Plan AE, Broker AE, etc.)
  • Accountability to activity and opportunity creation metrics volume of key activities each week, month and quarter
  • A remarkable customer service orientation is essential
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic, discipline, time management, and personal communication skills

Salary Range

$59000.00 To $72000.00 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position is also eligible for additional annual sales incentive commissions, and details regarding these additional sales incentive commissions will be provided after hire.
