ServiceNow Project Manager B&A is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the modernization of the organization's asset management solution. The initiative involves the implementation of the ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) module to replace the current OpenText Asset Manager system. This project will enhance asset visibility, improve lifecycle tracking, and strengthen audit compliance, while aligning with existing ServiceNow capabilities across IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), CMDB, Security Operations, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of this critical modernization effort, ensuring effective alignment of business and technical requirements, while managing project resources, schedule, budget, and risks. Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) module, ensuring successful migration from the legacy OpenText Asset Manager solution.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and monitor detailed project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Track and manage project budgets, ensuring ITAM implementation remains within approved financial parameters.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues associated with the modernization effort.
- Ensure alignment with ServiceNow platform best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Coordinate project resources, including technical teams, administrators, and business stakeholders supporting ITAM deployment.
- Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, providing transparency and accountability.
- Apply both Agile and Traditional project management methodologies, tailoring the approach to meet project needs (e.g., Agile for ITAM configuration, Waterfall for migration and deployment).
- Oversee testing, validation, and deployment activities to ensure the ITAM solution meets asset visibility, lifecycle tracking, and compliance objectives.
- Leverage ServiceNow reporting and dashboards to monitor project performance and provide insights to leadership.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of experience leading teams
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing ServiceNow implementation projects, with a focus on IT Asset Management (ITAM) or related modules.
- Demonstrated success leading modernization or migration initiatives from legacy systems to ServiceNow.
- Strong experience in project scheduling, milestone tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Experience managing project budgets in large-scale IT modernization projects.
- Expertise in identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks for enterprise IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Security Operations, and GRC.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience managing both Traditional (Waterfall) and Agile projects.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or other Agile-related certification.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, ITAM Implementation Specialist, ITSM).
- Experience delivering ServiceNow projects in government, public sector, or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks.
- Experience coordinating projects that span multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Security Ops, GRC).
Security Clearance
- Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
