Claremont, CA Job Posting Title: Interim Chemistry Lab CoordinatorJob Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Dean of Natural Sciences, the Interim Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for laboratory instruction, as well as the management and preparation of Chemistry laboratory instruction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited todevelopment of the laboratories associated with the general chemistry curriculum, managing the daily operations of the general chemistry teaching labs, training, supervising, and coordinating student lab assistants. The Coordinator will also maintain and order chemicals, prepare pre-laboratory demonstrations, and coordinate safe practices within the physical lab space. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master's degree or higher in relevant field required, or anycombination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job. LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: None. OTHER: HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: This is a temporary status, full-time, non-benefits-eligible, exempt position. This position is expected to end on or before December 15, 2025, and may be extended based upon mutual agreement by both parties. The regular hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.This is position is not available for remote work. Salary rate range: $68,640-$75,000 annualized. The salary rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, andtraining. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervise undergraduate graders and teaching assistants as necessary to fulfill duties and responsibilities outlined above. Work with department administrative assistants to ensure workers are paid and properly trained.
