What you will be doing... Your IMPACT



  • Plan and execute barge and boat schedules within assigned river segment Identify short-term power needs for assigned river segment.
  • Provide area planner with daily activity forecast and validate current plan.
  • Provide functional direction to newer dispatching Team Members regarding activities in assigned river segments.
  • Provide barge status, days in status, tow slot utilization within assigned river segment.
  • Coordinate vendor activities within assigned river segment with a focus on generating fleet speed and barge capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and government regulations.
  • Initiate process improvements on work flow to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


What we are looking for...

You will need to have:



  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3-5 years of logistics competence in transportation environment
  • Competence in dispatching, logistics or fleet planning techniques is required.


Even better if you have...



  • B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in transportation, logistics or a related field
  • Proficiency in using office productivity software such as MS Office is desired.
