How you'll make an impact:

The SiriusXM Media Archives is home to a vast collection of unique audio content originating with the first days of satellite radio. As part of the Archives team, the Assistant Archivist will be responsible for reviewing and organizing content. Working with physical and digital media, they will catalog audio programs, ingest legacy content, and enter relevant metadata into the archives database.

What you'll do:

• Review audio and catalog assets.
• Handle disks and drives in an archival setting.
• Ingest audio content into the media asset management system.
• Transfer and create metadata in database.
• Saving audio and metadata to archiving database.
• Interface with Programming staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

• 1 year previous experience with radio programming and/or library cataloging systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred - speaking, writing, and presenting.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As required by ITAR, to perform this position you must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $20.00/hour and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
