About the Role:
We are looking for a stand-out, experienced Furniture Account Manager to join Ethan Allen Retail, Inc. to establish a new concierge Trade program based in our Manhattan flagship.



This relationship-based outside sales position is for a high-achieving, goal-oriented, and service-minded individual who will work directly with interior designers, architects, decorators and commercial buyers through networking, cold outreach, and industry events within the NY Metro Area - supporting project needs.

Our Midtown showroom is located at 685 Lexington Avenue, near the heart of the NYC A&D Community. The ideal candidate is comfortable with travel throughout the greater New York Metro market - including Long Island, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.



Key Responsibilities:
* Establish Ethan Allen as a resource for customizable furniture to the trade, including case good and upholstered items, soft fashions, lighting, wall decor, decorative accessories, soft fashions and hardline window coverings.
* Develop new business opportunities and expand accounts by networking, cold outreach, and attending industry events.


* Provide expertise on product options and customization to meet client requirements.


* Maintain long-term relationships and deliver exceptional customer service experience.


* Work collaboratively with senior Retail Leadership and in house Design Teams.
* Develop and facilitate PowerPoint presentations, new product launches.
* Attend networking events.
* Manage trade accounts, create tear sheets, quotes, invoices, acquire lead times, request fabric and finish swatches.
* Write sales orders, manage orders, manage lead times, keep customer informed of any delays or changes. Manage orders through delivery and/or installation.
* Collect deposits and process balances for orders, work closely with retail operations and logistics department.
* Work on POS systems and utilize company programs and tools - including Microsoft365 for business, proprietary 3D and AR visualizer programs, and social media platforms. Must be proficient, quick, and accurate with all technology.


Job Requirements


3+ years' experience in a trade account management or business development role in design, furnishings or related field.


Showing history of building sales from trade accounts and hitting ambitious sales goals.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.


Detail oriented, organized and familiar with project management workflows.


Interior design education or experience is a bonus to understanding and succeeding in this role. Retail experience a plus.


This role is base salary plus commission and monthly bonus opportunity.



Education and Experience:
* Associates degree, Bachelor's degree a plus.
* 5+ years experience in a professional atmosphere that includes working with the trade in a luxury high-end furnishings environment. Trade showroom experience expected.
* Strong personal management, personal motivation and follow through.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Microsoft Suite proficiency required.



Compensation:


We offer a highly competitive base salary for the Trade Sales Furniture Account Manager position in New York City, typically ranging from $70,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated sales performance. This range reflects the higher cost of living in New York City and aligns with local industry benchmarks for similar roles. The position is also eligible for performance-based monthly commissions and growth bonuses to reward your success in developing client relationships and driving sales.
