Treasury Sr Rep

Overview:

The Treasury Sr. Representative functions are performed within the Tax and Treasury department.This position interacts with Bank Accounting Unit associates, associates at varied levels within the business units throughout the Company and other corporate departments. The Bank Accounting unit serves as the center of all bank reconciliations, account monitoring, and escheat reporting.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state escheatment laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in legislation and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Reporting: Prepare and file escheatment reports with our current vendor in accordance with deadlines and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of unclaimed property, including documentation of owner identification efforts and communications.
  • Communication: Liaise with internal departments, state agencies, and property owners to resolve any issues related to unclaimed property.
  • Training: Educate and train internal staff on escheatment policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Audits: Participate in audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of escheatment processes.
  • Process Due Diligence letter - both for tracking and action required
  • Balance Unclaimed Property GL accounts and vouchers
  • Retrieves and formats data imported from states and NAIC for weekly END scan trying to locate insurance policies for constituents.
  • Follows up with states and business units regarding matches found as required.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to locate owners of unclaimed property through various databases and communication methods.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience in unclaimed property, regulatory compliance, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of state escheatment laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Attention to detail is critical in this role
  • Knowledge of general escheat processing.
  • Attention to detail; accuracy is critical.
  • Organization and planning skills to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technology, and the ability to be a team player are both necessary to ensure unit tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to utilize telephone/virtual meeting platform for up to 8 hours per day.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$18.27 - $31.73
