Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer for Agero Administrative Service Corp, Medford, MA: Designs, develops, and maintains logical designs of mission critical enterprise application systems and services that leverages frontend and Restful services and a serverless architecture. Ensures that application and services designs align with our strategic technology direction and mission of helping stranded motorists digitally connect to our platform. Recommends strategies for improving system applications and services with a focus on ease of deployment, security, reliability, stability, availability and performance. Required: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems or Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field and 4 years of experience with software application development and design, including: building large, complex systems, including web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery working with Infrastructure as code tools (YAML or similar tools); working with Python, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; using fundamental design principles behind a scalable application; creating database schemas that represent and support business processes, working with one or more of: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB; working with AWS; working with various sections of the SDLC or agile processes; and working with version repository tools Git and Github, OR Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems or Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience with software application development and design including (experience may have been gained prior to or after completion of the Master’s degree): building large, complex systems, including web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery working with Infrastructure as code tools (YAML or similar tools); working with Python, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; using fundamental design principles behind a scalable application; creating database schemas that represent and support business processes, working with one or more of: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB; working with AWS; working with various sections of the SDLC or agile processes; and working with version repository tools Git and Github.
