Position Title: Communications Specialist
Department: Public Relations and Engagement
Reports to: Manager, Communications & Content
Location: Remote
Travel: 10-15%
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
*New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.

Position Overview:
The Communications Specialist supports and executes communications strategies that align with the organization's mission and priorities. This role collaborates with teams across the organization to produce engaging content, maintain communication channels, and strengthen employee engagement through effective storytelling. The specialist helps foster transparency, connection, and alignment by developing compelling content that brings Vibrant Emotional Health's mission to life across internal and external platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Support the development and implementation of communication strategies aligned with Vibrant's mission, values, and goals.
  • Deliver clear, consistent messaging about key initiatives and updates across internal channels.
  • Write and produce engaging content for newsletters, emails, the intranet, and other communication projects.
  • Assist in the planning and production of internal newsletters and executive messaging using MailChimp, ensuring adherence to brand, tone, and accessibility standards.
  • Review and prepare external communications as assigned.
  • Track and report on communication performance through surveys, analytics, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborate with department leads to support communication needs for key initiatives.
  • Create written content that showcases Vibrant's impact, initiatives, and organizational culture.
  • Support with drafting and editing articles, talking points, and promotional copy for varied audiences.
  • Contribute to internal storytelling efforts, including employee features, milestone celebrations, and organizational updates.
  • Additional duties as assigned.



Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in communications or a related role.
  • 3+ years of developing compelling content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with podcast production and audio editing tools.



Physical Requirements:


  • Will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders to provide status updates and potential roadblocks
