Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Major Gifts Officer will develop and implement comprehensive, individualized development programs for major gift prospects to secure gifts of $100,000 or more. Through identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of gifts to the institution, the Major Gifts Officer will build and manage a portfolio of alumni, and friends of Pomona College within a geographic territory. They will support new ideas, encourage interaction and teamwork, and be fully integrated in preparation for a comprehensive capital campaign for the College. This exceptional level of philanthropic support is generating strong momentum to advance the priorities outlined in the College's bold Strategic Vision. A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least five years of experience, preferably within an academic institution, is required for this position.
