Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Configuration and CDRL Data Manager (CM/DM) supporting a high priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI). The Division provides enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations, while delivering enterprise C3I infrastructure for USAF applications.

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.



Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Provide CM/DM, quality assurance, requirements analysis, risk management, and software engineering support in accordance with CM plans, AF SEAM processes, contracts, and PMO practices.

  • Manage configuration of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes, and conduct configuration audits to maintain Government technical baseline ownership.

  • Maintain configuration files including identification, change control, and status accounting records.

  • Convene, manage, and record results of Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Technical Review Boards (TRBs), and related activities.

  • Review and analyze contractor CM programs, data deliveries, and CDRL compliance for accuracy and completeness.

  • Support major audits (PCA, FCA); record findings, minutes, and action items.

  • Develop and administer CM plans, workflows, and design traceability.

  • Track change requests, discrepancy reports, software releases, licensing, and packaging/delivery of software to users.

  • Maintain CM library and software repository; ensure baseline integrity.

  • Support development and distribution of CDRL deliverables, manage data calls, and oversee Data Requirements Review Boards.

  • Ensure compliance with DoD and AF directives (DoDI 5230.24, DoDD 5230.25, DoD 5010.12-M, DoDI 5000.02, DFARS clauses).

  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, quality managers, and IPT members to support acquisition lifecycle activities.



Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Education: BA/BS Degree in related field

Years of Experience: Up to 5 years of professional experience

  • IT CM experience within a DoD environment

  • Experience with hardware/software configuration audits

  • Knowledge of CM tools for inventory and version control

  • Experience producing release notes, CM reports, and management briefings

  • Understanding of configuration change control processes, CCB roles, and documentation

  • Experience with baseline administration for multiple environments

  • Familiarity with all phases of the SDLC

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Technical Skills
  • Configuration management planning, documentation, and audits (PCA/FCA)

  • CDRL development, review, and compliance verification

  • Baseline administration and release management (major, minor, patches)

  • Proficiency with CM tools for inventory and version control

  • Data analysis, workflow management, and automated archival systems

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Familiarity with DoD standards, DFARS, and technical data policies

Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact with IPTs, engineers, and program managers

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in high-paced environments

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Professional presentation and briefing development skills

Assist the Government in developing and administering CM plans; maintaining design traceability and integrity; convening and managing change boards; and preparing for and attending major events such as, but not limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Physical Configuration Audits, Functional Configuration Audits, and Configuration Control Boards.
