Position: Unified Communications (UC) Telecommunications Field-Service Technician Position Summary: Our company is seeking a Telecommunications Field-Service Technician to understand, implement, test, and provide, primarily on-site support for the technical and integration requirements of UC projects, which include VoIP, Video, Presence, Mobile Device, Hosted Voice, Hosted Call Center Services, and Collaboration Applications. Salary: The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support for validation, verification, and testing of Cisco on-prem and Cloud-based telephony solutions, including any related integrations with wired and wireless back-end telephony systems and Telco, and coordination with third-party vendors for applicable application integrations.
- Support ordering, receiving, staging, provisioning, and testing of hand-held and desktop telephony endpoints or converged devices, along with training and support of users and local IT support staff.
- Support communications systems by helping with necessary efforts for installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
- Provide support for site installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assessing the installation site; and preparing as-built documentation inputs, as required.
- Support voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features and functions; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.
- Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, devices, and associated integrations; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.

Background and Experience:
- 8-10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of specific experience with implementation, maintenance, and/or upgrade of enterprise-grade PBX systems and applications, and associated ancillary technologies.
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience with implementation, maintenance, and/or upgrade of enterprise-grade PBX systems.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) or similar telephony soft-switch technology.
- Excellent written and oral communication, as well as presentation skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
