Requirements Job Overview Research Program Coordinator | McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University The Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics (GISME) brings together the finest scholars and best teachers from different fields to advance understanding of the ethical issues inherent in the functioning of the market society. The Research Coordinator will support GISME's research, teaching, and outreach efforts. Prior experience in a business-related master's program is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to work independently to support a range of tasks from assisting research efforts to coordinating conferences. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Work Interactions The Research Program Coordinator (RPC) reports directly to the Assistant Professor, Strategy, Economics, Ethics, and Public Policy, and works closely with other members of the GISME Faculty and the GISME postdocs. This position interacts regularly with William English, Peter Jaworski, and postdoc Michael Lachanski in particular. This role directly contributes to the University's mission by enabling members of GISME to be more productive in their research, better manage their classrooms and teaching, and engage the larger public more successfully through conferences and other outreach. Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid. Because office space is limited and many required tasks can be accomplished remotely and at odd hours, this position is designated as hybrid. The Research Program Coordinator will be expected to reside locally in the DC metro area and be available to help in person for events such as conferences, dinner programs, and student fellowship workshops. However, the RPC will be permitted to work remotely when appropriate for tasks such as grading, research support, arranging conference logistics, and managing course communications. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
