JOB PURPOSE: The Lead Case Aide works with the Case Management Department at Eagle Lake Children's Center and is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day tasks of Case Aides. The Lead Case Aide is required to maintain a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule and may be subject to work extended hours, weekends and on-call rotation.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Ensure compliance with ORR's 7-day case management policy (i.e., work schedule 8:00am-5:00pm or 1:00pm-10:00pm 7 days a week).
  • Meet regularly with staff to assign caseloads and keep abreast of issues. Inform staff of program, contract, and other related information.
  • Ensure team is trained, supported, and managed to meet program deliverables and outcomes.
  • Ensure that children are properly enrolled in the program's internal case management system and the federal UC Portal.
  • Complete and secure inventory of children's personal belongings/valuables.
  • Ensure DHS and ORR placement documents are filled, signed and uploaded into the UAC Portal software.
  • Supervise and ensure the provision of five weekly telephonic contacts with family of origin, primary caregiver, and/or sponsor are made and recorded.
  • Support in the facilitation of incoming calls to children with the appropriate family members and other approved caregivers.
  • Assist with the reunification of children which includes escorting children to the airport and flying with the child to their destination, as needed.
  • Manage and ensure the creation of client intake case files with necessary intake documents.
  • Supervise and assist with filing, closing, and with overall daily maintenance of records.
  • Assist with compiling electronic and physical files for ORR or State Licensing representatives upon request.
  • Ensure the provision of follow up service phone calls are conducted 30 days after a child has been reunified and discharged as required by ORR.
  • Assist with the coordination of travel arrangements for program staff transporting a child for reunification or transfer.
  • Assist with coordination of fingerprint services for family reunification at program designated digital sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be at least 21 years old or older.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills), required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.
  • Successfully pass a TB test annually.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned task.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state, federal, and local child protection agency registries.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Children's Home.


EDUCATION:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year experience working with children through paid or unpaid position.
  • One year of supervisory experience, preferred.



LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record required.

WORK LOCATION:Eagle Lake Children's Center in-person.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel in case of an emergency evacuation and as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs.
