Job Summary
Under the direction of the Human Resource Business Partner, the Human Resource Business Partner Intern will have the opportunity to collaborate and work closely with the Human Resource Team to assist with the completion of priority tasks and projects while gaining experience that can be applied directly to future career opportunities. You will gain exposure to Employee Relations, Onboarding, Offboarding, and Administrative HR tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and maintains confidential employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
- Dayforce administrative support as necessary, including setting up and ordering time cards, resetting passwords, etc.
- Manages employee Badges and Dayforce timecard
- Initiate employee records folders, collect new hire paperwork, and assemble orientation packets
- Maintains policies and forms in coordination with HR and displays labor law and other legal postings as required.
- Confirm the eligibility of employees to work in the United States using the E-Verify web-based system.
- Manage the employee termination administrative process.
- Provide research support to the RV Management Team, including market or salary data in the area.
- Provide administrative support for the HR Team to include the follow-up on completed Orientation Checklists for the temporary employee staff, completing the reference check process for temp-to-hire candidates, and following up with temp-to-hire candidates to ensure that their online application is complete in a timely manner.
- File for the department.
- Supports the Human Resources team on projects and other duties as needed.
Other Functions
- Act as a resource for various events (administrative support, calling vendors, etc.).
- Assist with new hire benefit orientation sessions as needed.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to multitask, be flexible, and adapt to changing requirements/deadlines/situations.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and adequate automobile insurance.
